Finally- a beautiful day in the neighborhood. I’m so tired of rain and mopping mud. We did have an awesome thunderstorm the other morning- at 5am. The lightening was so bright, it was like a flashbulb going off in my eye. I saw spots. But I do love me a good storm.
Sammie has two tricks already. Trick #1: She is still to small to go down the stairs from the doggie door, so she waits at the top for me to go outside and around the house, then jumps into arms. Surprised me the first time- I’m glad I caught her. Trick #2: Max dances for his treats. He used to get up on his hind legs and turn around, but now that he’s older, he just turns. When Sammie came in the other day, she started turning all on her own. My baby is so smart. Here she is taking down a zebra. What a killer.
Max is not impressed.
I have a wonderful secret pal! Sorry it took me so long to post this, Pal. Just look at all my goodies:
I saved everything until I took a picture; now I can play. I love smelly goods, and these mints are so strong I can feel them down to my toes. How did you know I've been eating a lot of Mexican lately? I wish I could get a good close up of the stitch markers. They are so pretty! The rings are a little bigger than the two I have, so I'll be able to use them more. The labels say "Made with love by Mom." One for each of my girls. Now I have to knit something to go with the labels. And who doesn't need dp needles holders?
Les clapotis est fini! Still needs blocking and a few ends woven in, but here she is as is:
And in other news… My doc said I need to practice memorizing things in hopes that my memory will improve. I’ve started playing the piano again and am brushing up on my high school French. My sentence for today is Excusez-moi mais j'ai mangé la tête de ton chat hier.
