DD#2: P is having her baby soon. Can you knit something for her?
Me: Sure. Why don't you help me knit a pair of booties?
DD#2: You never knit booties for S. She had her baby in September.
Me: We'll do those, too.
DD#2: Why don't you just knit a baby blanket?
Me: Baby blankets take a long time.
DD#2: You knit fast. Just knit a blanket.
So I'm knitting a blanket. I'm such a pushover. Besides, I'd just ordered the pattern. Next, slippers for Little B and her sister, 2 Kiri shawls, and gloves to go with the Multi-Directional Scarf. I started two shawls because I couldn't decide which yarn to use. I'm thinking about going with the cranberry, basically because I have something to wear with it.
Hard to tell, but yes, I am cleaning. I had piles and piles of patterns printed off the 'puter and stuffed in drawers and between magazines in the closet. I went through and tossed duplicates and what-was-I-thinking patterns, sorted the keepers into categories, and now they are in 17 binders, sort of neatly labled and semi-organized. And back in the closet. I've already started another drawer full.
I feel compelled to have at least one FO when I blog, but nothing today. I have made progress on this and that, but I've done more swatching and planning than anything. In looking through last year's FOs, I'm thinking not too exciting. Nothing very challenging. This year I need to fix that, starting with a lace shawl and progressing to a Fair Isle sweater. Oh, the plans I have made.
