... everything's A-Okay. It's hard to believe we had a foot of snow Friday and it's 65 today. DD#1 took the opportunity to perfect her igloo making skills. I went out long enough to get pelted with snowballs, then decided it was safer to stay inside and knit. Here's what DD#1 did:
Her penguin, Nonie, is 3 foot tall and sports a jaunty scarf and hat knit from Lion Brand Homespun. Here's what I did:
(Please ignore the dirty carpet. I really did plan to vacuum, but the belt broke, and while looking for a new one I found the socks I was working on and forgot where I put in a desk drawer- no idea why I put them there- and got a little side tracked.) Anyway, it's knit from Ebay bulky wool and the Haiku pattern in the smaller size. I also started a baby sweater for DD#1's Sunday School teacher who just had a little boy Friday, and I found out a woman I know is expecting in April. More baby things! I luuuuuv knitting for little babies. Made a little progress on other WIPs and finished up a hat and mittems for A4A, but nothing else photo worthy. My dad took 4 boxes of charity knitting to the PO this afternoon for me. Time to start new ones.
We went out to eat Saturday night and I had Haiku in my purse to knit on while we were waiting. I don't know why my family acts surprised when I do that- I always bring my knitting along. They wanted to know if there's a 12 step program for obsessive knitters, then decided that 12 steps wouldn't be enough. I'm too far gone. Fine with me. I may be far gone, but I like where I am.
I think there needs to be a 12 step program for all the people who think there is something wrong with those of us harmlessly addicted to our knitting. Only it needs to be about 2 steps, because I'm tired of defending myself. :)

The penguin is sooo cute! Who knew that homespun went so well with a tux! ;0)
Your Haiku is very lovely. I see it's almost done. Great job!
