Time to clean out the ol' knitting bag and make room for springy WIPs! I finally brought myself to seam the Haiku and sew on buttons. I don't know why I have such an adversion to seaming. Once I get started it's not that bad, and then I have an actual finished project. Maybe I have issues with closure.
Sewed buttons on the 5 Hour Baby Sweater. I wish I'd taken a close up before I stuck it in a mailer. They are the cutest little puppy buttons. Now, this is a pattern I like- no seaming, knit from the top down, when you're done you're done.
Also knit a couple of hat and bootie sets for Little Life, our local pregnancy crisis center. The peach hat has a hard to see crochet flower, thanks to Georgia.
Happy April Fools Day! I mean that sincerely. No tricks from me. I can't keep a straight face to ever pull anything off. But I am easily had. DD#1 convinced me she had 3 days of detention and a parent conference- undeservedly so- but she broke when I threatened to egg her teacher's house. One of my knitting group coordinators changed our April project to this. I thought it was a good idea. Who needs another shawl? But I didn't fall for this from Knitter's Review. Well, not for long.
ooh, cute baby stuff!

Maybe you dislike seaming because it's sewing, not knitting. I'm learning that if I don't do the finishing work IMMEDIATELY, it doesn't get done for a loooonnnng time. Both sweaters are adorable though. Wouldn't you think knowing how cute they'd be would get us over the seaming avoidance.
