I'm such a bad blogger. I've been knitting- how can I not?- just not reporting. So here's what I did yesterday...
Went to see my doc near Asheville, NC. Gorgeous drive. We had snow flurries a lot of the way, but the roads stayed clear. My dad took me, so I knit all the way there and back, working on hats for A4A. I'm getting much better at Fair Isle. Hats are excellent practice. This is what I finished:
The yarn is very old 100% wool someone gave me for this project. The brown was already brown, but the rest is Kool-Aid dyed. It was ugly pinky beigy. Ick. I refuse to knit with icky yarn. The pattern for the hat on the left used 2 strands, #11 needles, and this pattern. Gail has lots of great hat patterns and other stuff. The other two are my pattern, the design is make it up as you go. Fun, fun. More later.
Those hats look great!
