I managed to oh so gracefully plunge down the stairs Saturday night while carrying the pup. I’m sprawled on the floor, moaning and turning purple, and hubby asks, "Is Sammie okay?" Yes, Sammie is just fine.
Our little snow of last week…
has given way to spring showers. Which means mud. Which means... bath time!
Enough pup stuff. On to knitting. I got carried away knitting the Clapotis and watching Princess Diaries I and II (sick daughter), knit an extra repeat, decided to go with it, then realized I was running out of yarn. Ribbit. I'd planned to wear it on Easter, but since I don't have anything to wear with it, that's okay. But I am working on a little something to wear Sunday. Show ya later.
The green scarf is finished but not blocked. Show ya later. I am making progress on the fitted cardi (#8 in this winter's VK). I love the shaping, but knit long sleeves and will design a double seed stitch collar rather than use the purchased one. So I do have something to show:
Oh, and I finally put the zipper in the sweater for our sponsor child, Brianna, and finished the Tomten for her mom:
And I sewed a dress for Brianna. I have oodles of fabric in my stash I never got around to making for my DDs. It's so much fun to have a little girl to sew for. It's still snowing in SD, so I'll save the frilly pink and white until summer.
I reckon that's all for now. I'll leave you with one more pup picture. (Note the bag of yarn in the background. I've run out of closet space, so now they're lining the hall. I consider it part of my decor.)
The title reminds me of the movie the 5th Element. I've been a bit afraid I'm going to run out of yarn for Clapotis after hearing so many horror stories, so I've been checking the ball of yarn continually. It's making me a bit paranoid.

Love the dog pictures. They are so cute. Thanks for recommending Open Door to Stitchery. I'll put it on the list! Still haven't started a Clapotis. But someday I will.

Oh my gosh! I'm doing the same sweater from Vogue right now! How exactly are you going to do your collar? There is no way I am putting a $195 Tibetian Lamb animal on mine!

Modern American Bag...it's so in. Hope the ouchies fade quickly. I tried to send you email today, but it bounced back.
