We have decorated the tree, hung the garland, set up the Nativity, started the advent calendar, and found two of four stockings. All that’s left to do is bake like a mad woman, buy everyone’s presents, and cram three months of knitting into less than two weeks. Should be doable. My knitting to do list keeps getting shorter. Not that I'm getting any gifts finished, just getting more realistic. I have finished one sleeve on each of my sweaters in progress. One sleeve each to go, and as these are seamless projects, when I’m through I’m through. Gotta love that in a sweater.
And did I mention we made a snowman? Actually it's a bear, but I'm sure you knew that. We haven’t had any snow of our own- it’s imported. DD#1 and Hubby went to Bristol to visit Virginia Intermont College Saturday. Bristol had snow to spare, so they piled some in the back of the pick up. I love it when cars drive by and slow down to stare. Now, back to dyeing yarn for a purse, and I’m determined to get a batch of cookies made and wrap the two measly gifts I've bought.
12 knitting days until Christmas!
Bristol ... Tennessee? My mother grew up in Briston, TN!!
Love the snowbear ... very fancy, what with the imported snow and all.

Love the snowbear and your blog. Thanks for the nice comment you left on my blog, because I wouldn't have found yours without it.

Woah. I was just trolling the blogosphere looking for hot socks and mittens and to make sure I wasn't the only who's a total failure at Christmas (no luck here) but I saw Virginia Intermont and did a double-take. Since it's such a small school you rarely hear anything about it, but I spent a year there as a student in Equine Studies. If you have questions/need answers/want to chat about Bristol (I didn't get my degree there, so what I have to say is obviously not all positive), feel free to email me. Happy Solstice!
