I am the Michelle's (the knitter) mom. The reason you have not heard from her in several months is because she has had severe health problems. She was recovering nicely from her seventh surgery related to Chiara Syndrome in April when she was diagnosed with inoperable malignant brain tumor. She has undergone six weeks of radiation and chemotherapy and is now recouperating in a nursing home. Her left side has been very weak so she has not been able to knit. However, she is regaining strength every day and is hoping to be home - and back to knitting - in a few weeks. Don't give up on her and keep her in your prayers. Thanks

Michelle,
Thinking about you as I knit for babies. You have been my inspiration before when I would think about stopping knitting. I hope you are feeling better. I am praying for you.

Hi Michelle's Mom and Michelle, I just stumbled upon your site looking up baby hat patterns. As I read your blog, I was pulled into your world and when I went to check on your blog and found the news of your illness, I was stunned. I see there has not been any posts since August. I am praying for you and your family. All that have posted and myself I know are wanting to hear some good news. Your wonderful spirit of giving and caring for others touches others so much.

Just found your info yesterday for first time. I like your baby bootie patterns. So sorry to hear of your medical problems. Most of the comments were dated several months ago so I hope now you are recovered and back at what you do so well. Today is Mon. Nov 24th and I am writing from Salem, OR. You have used 2 symbols I don't know what you mean. Could you please tell me what SSK and P2tbl stand for as used in knitted worsted pattern under heading Mindless knitting. It is a bootie pattern. Thanks for your trouble, either way.

I am a RN who is currently doing work in a LAtchkey program (due to my own health issues) & trying to teach young children to knit. New to RAvelry, I just came upon this while looking for easy baby booties to make. I see it has been some time since her last post. I hope all is well for Michelle and all her family Joni

Oh, goodness! I just posted in the baby bootie blog that the blogger had not replied. Well, now I know why. I so hope you're better, Michelle.

I have made the booties above. My 8 year old granddaughter would like me to make a pair that would fit her. Can you adjust the instructions for size 2 - women's?
thank you. Joan
P. S. We took one pair of booties and a small baby blanket to Rose Hospital in Denver - Hope someone will benefit.
